Many dealers tell you ( or let you assume) they are selling you "new" cameras that are actually "used". They were sold once, often times proved to be initially defective or simply just broken and returned to the manufacturers. These are then refurbished and resold to these shady operators at much reduced prices. Many times the dealer will not tell you this, even if you ask. The big surprise comes when you get the "new" product in a brown box, with no packaging and no warranty card, or one that actually say's "Refurbished". Often times the warranty is limited to 90 days if it even has one, the products are distressed, scratched and obviously...used. Pieces, parts and accessories are missing from the original factory pack and usually sold back to you as'' accessories'' . Don't fall for these tricks. Is it worth the few bucks you save? NO! What is your recourse.... fly to Brooklyn, find these places.... go there and make a scene? Sue them? DON'T DO IT!
