Shipping Information

Precision Camera and Video accepts cameras for repair via many sources.

If you're in Austin, Texas, just visit our Service Counter in our store at 3810 N. Lamar Blvd. We are on the Northwest corner of N. Lamar Blvd at 38th street, down the street from Central Market. Store hours are 9AM to 6PM Monday through Saturday, Sunday 12pm to 5pm, Central Standard Time.

If you need to ship your camera or video unit in for repair, United Parcel Service (UPS) is the most popular method. Secondary sources are Registered US Mail and Federal Express. Be sure and get a tracking number for your shipment.

However you send your unit, please be sure to package it well in a box (NOT AN ENVELOPE!), large enough for AT LEAST 2 INCHES of extra packing material around the unit. Wrap the unit in bubble wrap or newspaper, then place as much additional packing material as possible around the camera. Be sure to insure your package for its replacement cost. Precision Camera cannot be responsible for inadequately wrapped packages.

To facilitate and expedite the repair of your photographic equipment may we suggest:

1. Individually wrap and list each component in a plastic bag (ie. camera, lens, flash...)
2. Place your equipment in a corrugated cardboard box with at least two inches of padding material (foam or wadded newsprint paper) all around your equipment and enough that it will not move loose.
3. Download this form and complete sections 1, 2, 5, & 8. Save a copy for your records.
4. Attach a $25.00 check if you are not using a credit card. Put the completed form in the box with your equipment.
5. Seal the box with packing or strapping tape, please do not use masking tape.
6. For you convenience, you can click here and print our mailing address. Be certain to securely tape it to your package.
